Ideal application: camps, settlements, hotels, restaurants, hospitals and sanitariums, barracks, campsites and holiday villages.</p>
<p>The sophisticated design of PURITAINER-wastewater treatment plants ensures that the cleaning performance is very high regardless of smaller power ratings and the often adverse operating conditions. The treated wastewater can be easily discharged into rivers, lakes and others. The PURITAINER-wastewater treatment plant of BIOGEST are produced of corrosion-resistant steel. This durable material has proven useful in more than 200 applications. The dimensioning of the PURITAINER is based on the German guidelines of the “DWA – Deutsche Vereinigung f&uuml;r Wasserwirtschaft, Abwasser und Abfall e.V.”.</p>
<p>The PURITAINER primarily consists of a 40“ open-top container with standardized ISO-dimensions for an easy transportation. The container has a dividing wall for the realization of a inlet buffer tank and a SBR-reactor. The PURITAINER is a nearly ready-for-use system, that means all technical components are pre-assembled inside the container. So before the start-up it is only necessary to establish the connection for the power supply and also for the inlet and outlet pipe.</p>

<p>BIOGEST adapter technology is used to protect retention basins from flooding using an emergency overflow. <p>﻿In a rainstorm, it&#8217;s not just the water quantity which can lead to problems &#8211; coarse solids can also be difficult to deal with. Hygiene articles or other waste can result in unwanted pollution, which can even be environmentally damaging, at inflow locations to receiving waterways. Lamella baffles can provide help.</p>
<p><strong>Functional description</strong></p>
<p>The circular lamella baffle, type LTW-R is a baffle system which serves the purpose of effectively retaining floating matter and consists of lamellas counteracting the discharge of solids through their optimum hydraulic arrangement. The arrangement in the separating structure is possible independently of the geometry of the building. For this reason, the lamella baffle can be used on almost all structures. Moreover, the lamella baffle can be retrofitted very easily in existing separating structures on account of the modular construction. Even small access openings are sufficient for the introduction and the subsequent assembly of the individual modules. Not only the ski slopes but also the transport infrastructure will be renewed and expanded for the XXI. Olympic Winter Games. In this context BIOGEST has delivered two flow limiters type ALPHEUS and two screening units type PAS for the city at the &#8220;Russian Riviera&#8221; this week.</p>
<p>Flow limiters make an important contribution to flood protection by buffering rainwater and forwarding it throttled. The screens are used to remove contaminants from the overflows of storm water sewers and thus serve the purpose of water conservation. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The City of Visalia, California, USA has set the goal to improve energy efficiency and lowering operational cost of its Water Conservation Plant. In a competitive bid BIOGEST has been awarded to deliver the CROWN disintegration system in order to reduce the sludge amount and increase the biogas yield by up to 18%. After start-up in spring 2012 the plant will be able to produce more of its energy demand on site, resulting in a significant reduction of the plant’s carbon footprint. At the same time disposal costs will be saved due to the reduced amount of sludge. The BIOGEST system will initially treat an amount of 256 m³/d (9040 ft³/d) of secondary activated sludge, but is already designed to cope with the plant’s future upgrades. The skid-mounted system will be manufactured in Germany and then shipped to the construction site in California. The plug-and-play design allows for quick installation and start-up.</p>
